Expenditure Limitation and Total Project Budget: $7,390,000 + $5,000,000 = $12,390,000 ($2,500,000 G-bonds + $9,890,000 gifts).

|
This $7.4 million project put in place improvements needed to host the 2008 Olympic track and field trials at Hayward Field. Improvements included new lights, a reconfigured infield, and new track surface. A part of this project included a longer term look at the future needs of the track-and-field program and how these could be met in the Hayward Field area.
