Project Description
The scope of the current project includes seismic structural upgrades, retrofitting existing heating and ventilation systems with more energy efficient HVAC systems, and installing an elevator to increase accessibility to all floors. The selected firm will provide all necessary professional services for schematic design through construction administration. Although this is a deferred maintenance project, we anticipate significant demolition to accomplish the maintenance upgrades. The University will want to take advantage of opportunities presented by the necessary demolition to improve the operational layout of the spaces. Additionally, replacement of the 1914 stacks addition is under consideration. Should additional funding be obtained to support the replacement of the stacks addition, the resulting contract for this commission will be amended to accommodate the services required to execute that work.
