2009 Oregon Ducks Roster After an impressive sixth place finish at the National Tournament, the men of Eugene return with even higher expectations for the 2009 season. Still a relatively young team, the Ducks are led by seasoned veterans Matthew Silliman and Andrew Del Carlo. Silliman terrifies opposing goalies with his deadly accurate outside shooting, while Del Carlo's all around game makes him one of the biggest threats in the Pacific Northwest, and possibly the world. Returning this season is senior Bobby Martini, whose speed and hustle makes Michael Phelps cry in his sleep. Left handers Zac Yensen and Taylor Hedges terrorize defenders both in and out of set. Juniors Conor Broom and Kyle Wilson return to deliver a lethal mix of brute strength and cunning, matched only by a cheetah on steroids. Goalie/field player Anthony Nuccio uses his incredible athleticism, acting as a brick wall in the cage as well as a serious threat in the field. Thomas Traudt and Taylor Cole return after taking a year off to hone their mad skills, while fellow juniors Sam Condon and Garrett Van Zanten continue to rise to meet any challenges they face, all while wooing ladies all over the Northwest. Rounding out this impressive line-up are the newest additions to the Duck squad. Shawn Gilmore and Nick Kish make it rain from all over like its monsoon season, and Jake Allen drops dimes like it's nobody's business. Matt Bissell brings the Bay back to Eugene, and has been known to "ball" from time to time, while returning sophomore's Zack Chinn and Justin Pomerenke look to make their mark this season. After having a great year in and out of the pool, nothing but the best is expected for 2009. Move over Ox, 2009 is now officially the year of the Duck.
