Call for manuscripts: KALEIDOSCOPE: A graduate journal of qualitative communication research

DEADLINE: Manuscripts should be received by Feb. 1, 2007 (for publication and distribution at the NCA meeting in Chicago)

Kaleidoscope is a refereed, print journal devoted to Communication Studies graduate students who work at the intersections of philosophy, theory and pracctical application of qualitative, interpretive, and critical communication research. Areas of engagement include both traditional and experimental approaches. We encourage contributions that are rigorous and lively, and that are attentive to scholarship without sacrificing creativity or consequence. We embrace submissions for this issue from all topics and are particularly interested in those focused on or around gender, and/or sex, and/or equality.

We believe that the kind of exposure Kaleidoscope can offer graduate students is both an educational and professional asset during a time when some of the most energizing new disciplinary research is done in areas that focus on qualitative approaches to communicative interaction. Because its attention is devoted to current graduate students' developments in qualitative, interpretive and critical work in a colllaborative review endeavor of faculty and graduate students, we believe that Kaleidoscope will develop a perspective and editorial process that is unique among Communication Studies journals.
