2005-2008 PARTICIPANTS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THE ABPFI SYMPOSIA AT THE
WASHINGTON, DC (FEBRUARY, 2010) AND PORTLAND, OR (JULY, 2010) NATIONAL AAPT
MEETINGS. (SEE DETAILS BELOW.)
A series of
one-week summer institutes and follow-up activities for college and university
faculty who wish to change their students' physics learning environment to a
more active one. All Summer Institutes have already been offered Summers
2005-08 at Dickinson College and University of Oregon. Followup ABPFI Symposia
will be held at the two national AAPT meetings in 2009, Winter in Chicago and
Summer in Ann Arbor. Participants in the 2005-2008 ABPFI can apply for a travel
stipend. University and two-year college faculty, and faculty from colleges and
universities that serve significant populations of under-prepared and/or
under-represented groups are especially encouraged to apply.
