to Pi Sigma Alpha
To apply for membership into the Beta
Theta chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the
national political science honor society,
you may print out an application online or
pick one up outside the department office,
935 PLC. All completed applications
should be handed into the Political Science
Peer Advising office. There is a one-time
charge of $40 for chapter dues. Applications
are due at the end of Fall term. You may
download your application below.

Membership Eligibility
The purpose of Pi Sigma Alpha is to
stimulate scholarship and interest in the
subject of government by providing tangible
recognition to students who have excelled in
the field. Minimum standards for admission,
established by the ACHS and the PSA national
constitution, for juniors, seniors and
graduate students are:

Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA in
political science coursework and a 3.0
overall GPA at the University of Oregon
-
Juniors and seniors must have at least
fifteen credits completed in political
science coursework
-
Graduate students must have at least nine
credits completed in political science
coursework
