{Scrapbook: WSFASA Conference}

March 8-10, 2002

The Washington State Filipino American Student Alliance (WSFASA) welcomed students and visitors from all over the Oregon and Washington area to their annual Filipino conference held at Central Washingto University in Ellensburg, Washington.. Guests include members from the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, University of Washington, Washington State University, Seattle University, Everett Community College, Western Washington University and Central Washington University.

These photos depict only a caption of what KP members will remember about the event. This page is dedicated to the life-long battles and triumphs of the Filipino American culture. God Bless!

"The WSFASA conference was definetely one of my highlights of college. It was inspiring, reassuring, educational and not to mention one phat party. It made me think about a lot of things I never did in the past... It made me appreciate my family and all the hardships my parents have been through. The seminars touched up on a lot of issues Filipino-Americans face. Just to name a few things...the sex trade, corrupt government, unequity of Filipino War Vetarans (like my grandfather...he fought for the U.S. during WWII but now the government won`t compensate... oooooooh that made me MAD), being discriminated against even within the Asian race, and overseas contract workers."
