On Wednesday afternoon we will lead a hike up Spencer Butte, a hill at the southern edge of the city with forested trails and a beautiful view from the top.

Those who wish to come should catch the Number 28 bus at 14th and Kincaid (west side of the street) at 1:37 pm. It is an 18 minute ride to West Amazon and Martin, where the trail begins. The bus fare is $1.75 each way, so come with appropriate change (or overpay by a quarter). You'll also want comfortable shoes and probably some water.

The hike itself is just over 3 miles (5 kilometers) each way, with 1540 feet (570 meters) of elevation gain. Everyone will be free to proceed at their own pace; return buses run every half hour.
