CLIR is collaborating with the Association for Research Libraries (ARL) to survey ten e-journal archiving initiatives. The study is intended to help libraries better understand the emerging strategies and options for ensuring long-term access to the born-digital scholarly literature and to help them determine the best course of action.

The study is described in the article "Surveying the E-Journal Preservation Landscape," by Anne Kenney, who is a member of the survey research team. The article may be viewed online at http://www.clir.org/pubs/archives/ejournal.htm and is forthcoming in the ARL Bimonthly Report for April.

Findings will be previewed at the ARL Membership Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, in mid-May, and CLIR will publish the final report in August.
