Re: diglib: FW: [CNI-ANNOUNCE] EDUCAUSE Podcast Features Digital Preservation and ECURE

I'm attending the ECURE Conference, so if any of the presentations sound interesting, let me know and I'll grab a copy of the slides for you.
Best,
Erin

Subject: [CNI-ANNOUNCE] EDUCAUSE Podcast Features Digital Preservation and
ECURE

Disaster preparedness, research data management, learning management
systems and the ECURE conference are featured in a podcast released in
December by EDUCAUSE. Arizona State University Archivist and ECURE
co-chair Rob Spindler responds to questions by Matt Pasiewicz of
EDUCAUSE about the role of archivists in preservation of several forms
of digital content.

In the 19 minute interview available at
http://connect.educause.edu/Rob_Spindler_CNI_Interview_2005, Spindler
emphasized the roles of archivists and librarians serving as advocates
for preservation and described the work of archivists in helping
universities fulfill core university functions through effective
recordkeeping.

ECURE 2006: Preservation and Access for Digital College and University
Resources will be held February 27-March 1st, 2006 at the beautiful
Tempe campus of Arizona State University, located in the Phoenix
metropolitan area. Conference registration information and a program
schedule template is now available. Program information will be
expanded as new sessions are confirmed. Please visit www.asu.edu/ecure
