Re: diglib: NEED A TIMELY RESPONSE: XML archival copies
I don't mind that Systems does the actual download. However, CDA
has to be involved at some point. I am not comfortable with us
"receiving" materials that aren't "checked in" or
recorded as received as we have always done. We need to be sure
that we have received what we paid for. And in this case, Gale has
not provided all that we are paying for. We send out claims for
unreceived materials. CDA is ultimately responsible for the audit
trail. We have already seen issues with the receipt of the Art on
File order.

Because of the time constraints,
I would suggest that Systems be given the
access information to download the files. We can identify a server
for
temporary storage while we work through the issues of permanent
storage
and access.
