Individual achievement as a measure of success has resulted in a culture where we often find ourselves living and working in isolation. This has led us to become increasingly disconnected from each other and the land. As we pursue appropriate and environmentally aware responses to meeting our needs, it is fundamental that we recognize humanity as an integral part of the earth's ecosystems. The conference will explore collaborative process in ecological design, community development, and the arts. Through presentations, discussions and workshops we will investigate methods and examples of collaborative, sustainable place making.
