WELCOME

The evolving knowledge of environmental issues
offers challenges and opportunities for positive
change. The ECO-Design Arts Conference is a
gathering of creative professionals, students,
educators and community members who are
interested in shaping human environments to be
more compatible with the ecosystems that support
all life forms. This year's conference theme, "Visions
for a Sustainable Future", encompasses the
fields of architecture, art, building, landscape
architecture, planning and public policy. Confer-
ence topics range from technological innovation to
social and cultural issues, including "green"
building materials, sustainable community design
processes, and art as a means of environmental
education. Lectures, panel discussions, workshops,
demonstrations and exhibitions are designed as a
forum for participants to exchange information and
offer inspiration.
