kids’ hopes
Kids’ HOPES provides kids with an opportunity to participate and learn from the conference in addition to allowing parents to freely explore the many facets of the conference. Admission is $5 for Saturday and Sunday. Snacks and supplies will be provided. Children will rejoin their families for lunch and dinner. All children ages 6-12 are invited to attend.

Build a Recycled Castle
Saturday, April 9, 9 - 11am
Saturday morning kids will work with architects and others to construct a dream fort out of recycled materials.
Wiggly Worm Workshop
Saturday, April 9, 2 - 3pm
Designed for kids but open to all, this vermiculture workshop will explain and exemplify the process of turning food scraps into plant food with the red wiggler worm.
Nature Art project
Saturday, April 9, 4 - 5pm
Kids will create their own beautiful candle lanterns with leaves.
Tiny Trashy Fashion
Saturday, April 9, 7 - 8pm
In preparation for the Saturday night “Trashy Fashion” show, kids will have the opportunity to make a costume and participate in the evening event or to do a recycled art project to take home.
Paper Making
Sunday, April 10, 9 - 11am
Kids will make their own, originally designed recycled paper to take home.
Sustainability Game and Nature Walk
Saturday, April 10, 11am - 2pm
During the closing speaker, kids will be able to participate in a sustainability gameshow activity or go for a nature walk.
