Earn Academic Credit for Participating in HOPES

Did you know you can participate in or volunteer for the 10th Annual
HOPES conference for academic credit? Three ways to earn this credit
are available to all UO students. Guidelines are summarized below!

ENROLMENT THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL
Students seeking academic credit for participation may now register
for: AAA 4/508: HOPES Conference (1cr) if you plan to attend the
conference, and AAA 4/508: HOPES Charrette (1 cr) if you plan to
participate in the 24 Hour Charrette.

NOTE: The conference will take place April 15-18, 2004, but the last
day to add classes will be April 9. Because we understand students may
decide to participate and enroll after the April 9 deadline, we will
have a group petition available at the conference registration desk
and at the charrette. You must sign this group petition in order to
waive the registrar's late fee.

ENROLMENT THAT DOES REQUIRE INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL
Students seeking academic credit for administrative or management
roles, may register for (1-3 cr with 1 credit=30 hours). Please do the
following:
Fill out a "pre-authorization form" for your department, and turn this
in to Ron Kellett, our faculty advisor's box in the faculty mail room
(adjacent to AAA Dean's office). Ron will put your signed form in an
envelope outside the Neighborhoods Lab, Room 100 Pacific for pick up.
Return this form to your department, and register on Duckweb as you
would for any other course.

If you have questions regarding any of the HOPES courses, please
contact Fumiko Docker fdocker@darkwing.uoregon.edu
