All of our
volunteers put in a fantastic effort for the 9th annual conference.
Thank you to all of you for your hard work and dedication. It would
not have been possible without you!!
1. DAY-OF COORDINATOR duties include being go-between for set-up, AV
and clean-up volunteers, registration desk volunteers and handling any
last-minute emergencies with your handy walkie-talkie
2. HOMESTAY COORDINATOR will be in charge of arranging homestays for
those conference participants who wish it. This will include recruiting
hosts for conference speakers, panelists and participants.

3. TRAVEL COORDINATOR will make some flight reservations for speakers
coming from far away, and also coordinating drivers to and from the
airport, train station, etc

NIGHT TIME ACTIVITIES will arrange the night time entertainment for
Saturday, April 12th! If you know any great bands, entertainers this
one's for you.

VISITOR PACKET COORDINATOR will create an orientation packet for conference
speakers/panelists highlighting Eugene and pertinent information

6. BUSINESS/ORG EXPO TABLE COORDINATOR will be responsible for the expo
on the first floor of Lawrence Hall, arranging for businesses/organizations
to share their goods/services with us

7. H.O.P.E.S. BOOKSALE COORDINATOR will involve coordinating with the
UO bookstore to get some titles on ecological design at the above expo

8. REGISTRATION COORDINATOR will gather/schedule volunteers to work
at the registration table during the conference, collect registration
forms and enter them into our database
9. POSTER DESIGN AND PRODUCTION COORDINATOR we have the logo the dates
the speakers. . . we just need a graphic artist to take charge of creating
a poster and arranging for its printing and distribution THANK
YOU TARA OGLE!
10. T-SHIRT COORDINATOR will arrange for screen printing of 2003 conference
t-shirts!

11. PROGRAM EDITOR will contact and coordinate with Eugene Weekly to
get an insert with our program listed in their publication prior to
H.O.P.E.S.; we'll also use this for the conference itself

12. PRESS RELEASE COORDINATOR will send faxes from the ASUO office/make
phone calls to various media organizations to advertise the conference

13. ART INSTALLATION SET UP (AND TAKE DOWN) will set up art in the Hearth
a week prior to the conference and take down after

14. FOOD COORDINATOR
will arrange with UO Catering Services for a formal dinner on Friday
evening 4/11, other businesses for lunch on Saturday and possibly Sunday.
This may include contacting the Northwest Hydrogen Association about
a bbq on Saturday 4/12.
