There are two different types of credit available: *please note that one credit is on average worth 30 hours of work*

CONFERENCE: 1 credit. This involves attending a number of panels, speakers and workshops as well as some form of reflection after the conference (essay, etc.) This year's theme is "Ecological Urbanism." Topics range from buildings, to technology, to transportation, to planning and policy.

Submit your essay to the Ecological Design Review Spring 2003 Newsletter! view back issues of the newsletter

CHARRETTE: either 1 or 3 credits possible (not 2).

Thursday, 4/10 to Friday 4/11. Credits are earned by participating in the 24 hour charrette. This is an excellent design opportunity in which you are able to work closely with individuals from varying disciplines and professional backgrounds. The design topic is the development of East Campus at various scales. To earn three credits, you will be working ahead of the conference in organizing, collecting and preparing charrette materials for the charrette attendees.

Earning these credits requires a certain level of personal responsibility in requesting information and also in the post
conference follow through. Ron Kellett, the faculty advisor of the EDC will have more detailed information to email to you once you have registered, closer to the conference.

The CRN #s are in Duck Hunt and the Spring Quarter class schedule under AAA.
