Dusty Becker learned to play ultimate at South Eugene High School under the teaching of Breeze Strout. At Oregon he played under such names as Seth Wiggins, Aaron Bell, and David Needleman before becoming captain of Ego. During the club season, Dusty sought the mentorship of players Brian Linkfield, Aaron Richards, Patterson Seaton, and many other members of Portland based Rhino. In his fifth year on Ego, Dusty now says his mentors are his teammates. “I give thanks to everyone who has taught me how to play,” he says. “I love this game and I love life. Life is only exists in our minds which are built around our ego's; so let go of your ego and then you can let go of your mind. Then you can experience peace!”
