Christopher Phan

About me

I am a graduate teaching fellow (GTF) and a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Oregon. My advisor is Brad Shelton. I am studying noncommutative ring theory.

I have a B.A. in mathematics and communication from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and an M.S. in mathematics from the University of Oregon.

Research

My research involves homological conditions on associative algebras. Specifically, I have been investigating the K2 property recently introduced by Cassidy and Shelton (which is a generalization of the Koszul property).
