Green Eugene Bike Tour
CASL held a successful bike tour in November. Jan Spencer (of the
Eugene Permaculture Guild) led a visit to sustainable sites in
Eugene, including a "suburban renewal" site, a permaculture co-op,
and an eco-village -- all within Eugene city limits!
CASL Converts Unused Fruit to Juice
On October 6, CASL converted the bountiful harvest from East Campus
fruit trees into 10-15 gallons of apple, pear and asian pear cider.
CASL was joined by numerous students, faculty, community members and
even a handful of curious kids from the Child Care and Development
Center; all of whom had their juicy appetites satiated.
