The University of Oregon (virtual) Museum of Modern Art UO[v]MoMA is the hub for the students' artwork. In the role of the curator, students will set up their own virtual showroom on the web. A basic HTML template is the starting point for these individual areas which will be expanding during the term. Like any other museum, these personal presentation areas must be able to successfully display artwork with many different forms of expression.

Purpose

• To introduce the Internet as a design media
• To allow students to establish their own web page

Objectives

• Understand the concepts of local and remote disk space
• Understand how to download files from remote locations to the local disk
• Become skilled at manipulating text and images on a web page
• Understand how to create links on a web page
• Understand how to upload files from the local disk to a remote location
