International Parents

The University of Oregon is a prominent research university with an enrollment of 20,394 students. Contributing to the rich educational and cultural environment at the UO are 1,107 international students from eighty-one countries. Most represented countries include Canada, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.

International recognition:

The American Council on Education recognizes the University of Oregon as "among the most active research universities in the country in advancing internationalization in a wide variety of areas."

The UO was ranked forty-fourth best in the world by the Swiss-based Center for Science and Technology Studies for quality and impact of scholarly publications.

The University of Oregon is one of only sixty-two public and private institutions in the United States and Canada selected for membership in the elite Association of American Universities (AAU) in recognition of its preeminence in graduate and professional education and basic research.

One hundred twenty-five UO faculty members have been named Fulbright scholars.
