Campus Virtual Tour
Commissioned by the University of Oregon under the "one-percent for art" mandate for all state-funded buildings, this waterfall outside of Cascade Hall was designed by Alice Wingwall, a partially blind UO alumna. Wingwall's design uses different patterns and materials to engage the ears rather than the eyes. Five distinct "water hitting water" sounds can be heard from various points around the waterfall.
