The expanses of green grass, towering firs, and ancient oaks between Deady and Villard halls provide the perfect setting for tossing a Frisbee or just lounging. You'll often find theater students rehearsing scenes, practicing sword fights, or playing instruments. Villard is home to the Department of Theatre Arts and the Comparative Literature Program, which publishes the foremost journal in its field. In the summer, MadDuckling Theater produces two shows for children and families in the green space.
