Every year, nearly two-thousand students from more than eighty countries study at the University of Oregon. Meanwhile, one in four graduates studies abroad while a UO student. The UO offers a host of degree programs with a global emphasis, including languages, international studies, area studies, literature, and many more.
Among its many offerings, the UO features Romance Languages, East Asian Languages, German and Scandinavian, and Russian and Eastern European Studies. In addition, the Yamada Language Center not only augments linguistic study in various departments, but also is home to the World Languages Academy and the Self-Study Language Program, both of which provide expanding opportunities for the study of a wide variety of languages.
Since 1978, the American English Institute at the UO has provided high-quality English language training to international students and educators.
Whether you're broadening your global perspective on campus or taking part in one of more than a hundred study abroad offerings, you'll find a world of opportunity at the University of Oregon.
