From Saber-tooth Salmon to Spike-tooth Salmon

Ancestor to today's sockeye, Oncorhynchus rastrosus was the largest salmonid fish that ever lived. Working with fossils in the UO's Museum of Natural and Cultural History, researchers have unlocked a better understanding of the prehistoric salmon's anatomy and ecology.
